Canada Day 2019

With most of the 2020 Canada Day celebrations cancelled, I took the opportunity to scrapbook last year`s Canada Day parade photos.  Which means I am now caught up with Canada Day, in one album at least!
I won`t mention about the other 10 years of events and precious moments that I would still like to complete one day!

For this page I used paper and journal tags from Scrapbook Customs.  I love all their travel papers and customs printed items with the beautiful distress elements, and it is perfect for a young man with the whole world ahead of him.  I added maple leaves cut from a Tim Holtz die set and stamps from Photo Play`s O Canada stamp set.

  Yep.  All Caught Up!

Miss you guys.  Hopefully things will get back to near normal soon and we can organize get a crop organized, or somehow get together!

O Canada and the Great Outdoors

Here are some fun tags, just in time to celebrate Canada Day

A few great products and "voila", it's Canada, Eh!  I used the fabulous The Great Outdoors paper from Carta Bella as the base of these tags.  The graphics are perfect and the paper is nice and thick with lots of texture.  Then I stamped the beavers and moose; they are part of Photo Play's O Canada collection, which includes true Canadian slang sentiments...  The stamps were coloured with alcohol inks and cut with the coordinating die set.  The journal tags are cut from the Canada Chic cardstock, which is made by Scrapbook Customs.  I love them, you betcha.  Hope you do too!

Other products used:  Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe cardstock, Tim Holtz for Ranger distress inks, alcohol markers from Letraset, Chameleon and Studio 71, Worldwin Papers translucent vellum, Maya Road twine and American Crafts ribbon.

Celebrating Canada 150

Two cute layouts for you today.  We shared a fabulous Canada Day with our family.  The highlight, of course, is being able to spend time with our grandsons!  Marshall celebrated his first Canada Day at the age of 6 months and in true Canadian style, complete with maple leaf tattoos, sunhat and t-shirt.

I like to put lots of photos on each page and sometimes it's a bit challenging to fit them in and add embellishments too!  This was not my original thought, but once I started moving the photos around I was able to make it work.  Three of the photos are printed in a 3x4" size, thanks to my handy Epson photo printer.  I would recommend one to any scrapbooker, for sure!

Products used:  Paper from Bazzill Basics, Scrapbook Customs, Echo Park and BoBunny, the cute number stickers are from Bella Blvd, and the maple leaves cut from Sizzix dies.

Here's the page I did for my older grandson who played in his Grandpa's band as part of the Canada Day celebration.  Hard to see him in the photo, but he's there.  Also sporting red and white and tattoos everywhere!

Sometimes all you need is the right paper.  This paper is from Scrapbook Customs.  All I did was add some letters (these are Basic Grey alpha stickers), and my photos... There was nothing else I wanted to add.  I used a craft knife to cut around part of the maple leaf so that I can tuck the photo behind it.

Hope you have had a chance to scrapbook your Canada Day.  If not we have lots of Canada papers, embellishments, stickers, even maple leaf brads...
