Tea and books card with Stampers Anonymous

Tea card with Stampers Anonymous Schoolhouse Stamp designed by Tim Holtz

Here's a fresh tea card for you today.  I love the vintage blueprint stamps and find many uses for them.  This came together when I found this fabulous quote by C.S. Lewis, a famous scholar and author.   It is true, there are no books long enough.  Make a card for the book lovers on your list.  They will thank you for it!

For this card I used:
Books - Stampers Anonymous Schoolhouse Blueprint stamp set
Teacup - Echo Park But First Coffee stamp set
Elizabeth Craft Design Rose leaf die
Bazzill Basics Cardstock

BoBunny Vintage Baby Cards

I had so much fun creating a series of baby cards with this gorgeous fall collection from BoBunny. This is Enchanted Harvest.  It is an older collection, but one of my all time favorite.

BoBunny Enchanted Harvest Baby Card
For this card, I layered some of the journal tags, then added a stamped and cut bassinet with small (really small) bow,  The Twinkle words are cut from Graphic 45 and the stars were punched from foil cardstock.  Everything was distressed with Distress Ink and I added a few twinkles with Stickles.

BoBunny Enchanted Harvest Postcard Style Baby Card
This card was made with a journal tag background.  The baby image was cut from a second journal tag and I fussy cut a few leaves to give a layered look. I layered the distressed tag onto bright green cardstock to give it a light and airy look.  You cannot see in the photo but there are spots of glitter and shine that I added with gel and glitter pens.

BoBunny Enchanted Harvest Baby postcard
This sweet card is again made with a postcard style tag and baby graphic tag.  I fussy cut some leaves for layering, distressed everything then added gold Stickles around the baby graphic and Nuvo Jewel Drops to the little fairy behind the sunflower.  Love this card!

Hope you enjoy this beautiful fall weather!

Hello Baby Girl Cards

Hello Baby Girl Cards with Echo Park Paper
Here are a couple of cards made with Hello Baby Girl, a fabulous little woodland collection by Echo Park Paper Co.  I used the 3x4 journaling card paper.  There are some very cute graphics and sentiments on this sheet.  These may look simple, but it was a Sunday afternoon project!

For the teal card, I inlayed the journal tag and added a frame cut from a Marianne Design die set.  The little diaper pin is a brad from Eyelet Outlet.  Ribbon has been in my stash for ages.  I was going to add a bow.  I might still do that...  The teal is Bazzill Basics textured cardstock

For the pink card I cut the journal card with nesting rectangle dies (Spellbinders),  then added some Prima flowers and a handmade felt diaper. The beautiful pink watercolour paper is from Alexandra Renke.

If you have baby cards to make, the Hello Baby Girl collection might be just what you need.

Street Hockey Memories Scrapbook Page

Revelstoke
It's a great time to dust off the sticks and get into a bit of street.  These boys make it look easy!  This game actually took place on a family road trip,  in the motel parking lot.

For this page I used fabulous paper from Heidi Swapp's Hawthorne collection. Love the peek a boo mountain scene on this paper.   Stickers are a mix of Echo Park and Bella Blvd.

From our hockey family to yours.  Hope it inspires you.

Flowers in her Hair Card

My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Clear Stamp Set

I love this cute little girl and had so much fun making this baby card.  The background was created with tissue paper.  I spread modge podge on cardstock and covered it with light blue tissue.  I gives some fun texture to the background.  I then used distress to differentiate between the sky and the grass (broken china for the sky and twisted citron for the grass.  The fence was cut from patterned paper (I believe it is paper from Pebbles); this was a white and grey stripe - I distressed the white part of the fence with Broken China.

I used Letraset alcohol markers to color this sweet baby stamp, then used a white opague pen to add the dots to her blanket.

I punched out the tiny flowers, die cut the vines and the hedgehog, then found the perfect sentiment from Kaisercraft!

This very cute card could be used for a young child's birthday card.  I used it as a baby girl card.

Supplies used:

Bazzill Basics cardstock
Lifestyle Crafts die (fence)
Cottage Cutz dies (vine and hedgehog)
Tim Holtz (Ranger) distress inks
Marvy Craft Punch (daisy)
Letraset Alcohol Markers
Kaisercraft Journal Tag (from Hide & Seek collection)
Nuvo Crystal Drops

It is pouring rain here in Invermere, which means a great time to be creative.  Hope you feel inspired.

Awning Coffee Cards

A few weeks back I did a rare market at the Invermere Coffee and Tea Festival.  Rare only because I do not usually do the market "thing".  It was a tremendous day and the coffee was great.  Here are a few of the cards I made for this special event, which is held annually in our little community.

Awning cards are fun to make and very easy.  There are so many ways to create them.  For these I decided to place the awning over the door of the cafe, and keep the cards fairly simple.  The awning is a simple addition, which is cut and scored and attached to the top of the finished card front.  My cards are 4x6 inch, so I cut the extra piece for the awning at 4x3.25 inches, scored at 1/4" at the top and 1/2 inch from the bottom.

Products used:

papers, from Fabscraps
barn door die, from Marianne Designs
picket fence die, and edging die on the bottom of the awning are from QuicKutz
signs are stickers from Mariah Johnson
poodle is chipboard, from Fabscraps
poodle chain is a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs
bicycle is from Simple Stories
The design is mounted on Card Shoppe cardstock from Bazzill Basics

Give awning cards a try. They fold up flat for mailing, and anyone would be thrilled to receive one!
