Christmas Card Blitz

Creating a lot of individual cards can be a challenge, but you can make it easier by sticking to one collection of papers and journal tags and add some special touches with stamps and dies.

Here are 10 cards, made from the Simple Stories Merry & Bright collection.

I have to admit that some of these were designed for a Christmas Card Blitz we offered at the Invermere Public Library.  The ladies ran with the idea and created lots of different cards.  Their creativity beats mine, hands down.   I must try to get photos next year.  They certainly are a talented bunch.  

Once that workshop was finished, I continued to make cards and found it hard to stop.  This collection had me hooked!

Here is a breakdown and a closer look at the cards:

From sweaters to sentiments, Simple Stories had me covered with their journal cut out tag papers.  I cut some of them into shapes and left some as they were, and added Christmas coloured backgrounds, some die cut everygreen branches or poinsettias to create these fun cards.  

   I used a cute Santa stamp from Magnolia Ink to add a little fun!

Some ribbon and twine, black glitter pen and stars dress up the tree card, while evergreen branches and a big snowflake add dimension to the truck card!

I added Glossy Accents to the Christmas lights on the reindeer, some red glitter a red snowflake border to the hot cocoa card 

And you can't go wrong with penguins.  The penguin (I think it is actually a puffin...) is from a Penny Black stamp set.  I added an envelope to this card - perfect for gift cards or messages.
