This is the Garden Gnomes 1 set from Cottage Cutz. The images are so cute and you could use them in so many garden themed cards and scrapbook layouts.
For both cards, gnomes and other images from the set were coloured with alcohol markers, and Bazzill Basics is always my cardstock of choice for card bases and stamping and die cutting (so you know)
On the first scene I built the background from Alexandra Renke cardstock (blue watercolor and pink watercolor design papers), which were distressed with Tim Holtz/Ranger distress inks. The "trees" are cut from Tim Holtz/Sizzix leaf dies and the gears from QuicKutz. Stamped sentiment from Fiskars added the perfect touch.
On the second card I used oval layering dies from QuicKutz and offset them (the paper is Karen Foster). Flowers were cut on book paper (these are Elizabeth Craft dies) and the leaves are also Elizabeth Craft dies. The sentiment tag is from the Blue Bay collectables by Kaisercraft.
In the background, my husband's dill, which has matured way too early for canning season 😞; unfortunately we will be making a trip to AG Foods to get some fresh stuff!
It is always fun to create whimsical cards. I can't wait to give these to my special someones!
