Fun garden journal with BoBunny and Stampendous

Sharing a whimsical garden journal I made a few weeks ago

This is a melding of beautiful and classy garden paper from BoBunny and some sweet gnomes from Stampendous (and some stamps from others, as well).  The effect is pretty sweet.  

This is an accordian fold journal that I put together with one sheet of 12x12 inch cardstock from Bazzill Basics.  The journal measures 6x6 inches, so I was able to cut the front and back panels, plus the accordian fold binding from a single piece.  

The patterned paper is from the Aryia's Garden collection from BoBunny.  Filled with roses, garden gates and some rustic elements as well, this paper is great for garden themed projects, and worked perfectly here in this little journal.  I needed 14 pieces to complete both sides of  the 5 inner pages plus the front and back covers.  So, four papers, each cut into 6x6 inch squares...and I have a couple of pieces left over.

The stamp set is Whisper Friends clear stamp set from Stampendous.  I couldn't resist it!

I used a layered rose die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well, to add some leaves and roses throughout the pages.  The brick wall stencil is from My Favorite Things.

I applied white gesso over the stencil to create just a wee bit of dimension to these pages and then inked with distress ink (ground espresso and lucky clover are the colors I chose).  The journal tag is part of the Aryia's Garden paper collection.  I used a number of them throughout the journal.

Here is another gnome, and I used a stamp from Scrapbook Customs (yes, they have some stamps now, and some very cute ones!)  I colored all the gnomes and some of the other elements from this stamp set with water color pencils. Very simple to do, and they came out perfect!

Here I used two  4x6 inch journal tags from Aryia's Garden as one of the back to back pages. 

There is the gnome again.  She just pops up where ever she feels like it!

I love how this little gnome sits amidst the gorgeous roses!  The stamp on the inside back cover is from Hero Arts (Dare to Dream clear stamp set).

I used 1/4 inch double sided power tape from Scrapbook Adhesives to put all the pages together. The accordian style binding allows the pages to open flat.  Love this little album.  Once it is filled with journaling and photos, it will look great on somebody's coffee table or in the garden shed.
