Inspirational Cards

I've been spending some time with BoBunny, making some fabulous cards with the Genevieve collection.  Love the birds and the colours are so bright and vibrant.  So, inspired, I created some inspirational cards that I thought would be great for graduation or friendship cards. 

I used Genevieve 1 and Birds double sided papers.  I fussy cut the birds; there are lots on a page.  The messages were stamped using one of my favorite stamp sets from Hero Arts, called "Dare to Dream".  Everything becomes simplified when you have a theme for your cards.  I distressed all my cut pieces with Tim Holtz "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink.  My card bases are all made with Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe cardstock.  

On this first card I added a few Nuvo Jewel Drops here and there.  These create drops of clear colour and shine.  I added a twine bow to the top of the birdcage.

The dahlias on this middle card are cut with an Elizabeth Craft die set.  I cut them from the same Genevieve paper, then altered each flower and leaf with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in the colour "Blueprint Sketch".  The frame is from my stash (I think it may be from Crate Paper).  The background is the reverse side of Genevieve 1.

And here is one of the beautiful birds.  Again I used "Nuvo Jewel Drops"  in the colour Sea Breeze.  You can barely see in the photo, but the drops are in the center of the large flower and on the little jewel on the bottom.
